It is the first solo exhibition in China by the Danish artist Anne Sofie Hornemann, who for this exhibition has created a unique set of works inspired by the classical beauty she finds in the tradition of Chinese flower paintings.

 

Anne Sofie Hornemann is the 7th generation artist from her family, starting with Christian Hornemann who was Director of the Danish Royal Academy in late 18th century, but as a contrast to the tradition she is always looking for new perspectives in art and different ways to express them.

 

The beauty of Anne Sofie Hornemann’s works is convincing and many of her works hang in some of the finest art collections in the world.
